Howie Homes LLC is a Veteran-owned company based out of Dayton, Ohio. Howie Homes was originally created by a team of military Veterans and family members who have ventured into the Real Estate industry under the tutelage of the Home Experts Realty brokerage. While not every agent is currently a Veteran, each agent affiliated with Team Howie embodies the core values that make each military service highly successful. Best of all, Team Howie is ready to bring these values to you!

What's with the name, you ask? Those familiar with the military know nicknames are very common. In particular, Air Force designates "callsigns" to members as a tradition that stems from the need to clearly and quickly communicate with one another while in battle. Callsigns are chosen for members by their fellow Airmen. Apparently, my fellow Airmen weren't the most creative with callsigns, and basically just shortened my last name (Howerton) to Howie. By sheer coincidence, Howie just so happens to be my uncle's callsign given to him while he was in the Air Force decades prior. Looks like his Airmen were just as creative. :)

Ok, so what about the "Homes" part of the name, you may ask? Howie Homes isn't just a name, it is one of the goals of this business. It's not just because the business is home-related. We aim to provide homes (aka Howie Homes) to Veterans in need by harnessing revenue from Real Estate. This is the Howie Homes Project (HHP), which is explained below.

Goals

  1. Provide the best service possible to our clients

  2. Provide military Veterans and their family members an avenue for additional income through the Howie Works Program.

  3. Provide homes to military Veterans who cannot afford a home of their own through the Howie Homes Project.

The Howie Works Program

Those lucky enough to have served in the United States Armed Forces understand the sacrifices they make, and the challenges they face with a move. Moving to a new location, making new friends, and starting new jobs are not easy. Military family members especially have a tough time with it.

The Howie Works Program helps eligible Veterans and, especially, family members through this difficult process. This program offers free training, assistance, and marketing for those who wish to become an agent with us. We even bring you clients! This is not a get rich program, but every little bit helps. And you may make a friend a long the way. The Howie Homes Project (HHP): Homes for heroes

Veterans experienced their share of challenges and hardships throughout their lives. From being pushed to their limits in Boot Camp to being even more challenged on the battlefield, they have sacrificed a lot for their country. For as much as they have endured, one thing they should never endure is being homeless. Howie Homes LLC believes no Veteran should ever be left behind. This is why we have planned The Howie Homes Project (HHP): Homes for Heroes. The orignal intent of HHP was to provide housing directly to Veterans. The HHP concept proved somewhat challenging to implement, both legally and monetarily. Instead of providing housing directly, HHP is now designed to donate proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veterans families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. More information about Fisher House can be found at www.fisherhouse.org. We are able do this largely due to the graciousness of our Agents, who are willing to donate small portions of their commissions to HHP, as well as, receiving donations in the future from anyone who would like to get involved. Of course, you're more than welcome to donate to Fisher House directly too! Veterans risked their lives for us, and we feel the need to return the favor. We have homes because of them, now they will have homes because of us!

 

If you would like to support The Howie Homes Project, the best way to help is to spread the word about our services. We are not currently taking donations, however, all Howie Homes transactions are designed to offer a small percentage of proceeds to Fisher House in lump sum donations.
